Under 12s (11 aside) convincing winners over Chiddingly (09/07/08) 

Chiddingly Under 12s visited a dull and very windy Salts to face an ever improving Seaford Under 12 team.  Batting first Seaford stacked up a very competitive 135-4 off 20 overs.  Top scorers Kieran Loader (30ret), Jacob Smith (27) & Bradley Eisner (26no). harvey took two wickets with a wicket a piece for J Ticehurst & Ryan.

In reply Chiddingly made a good effort of chasing the total, but, the steady fall of wickets made it difficult to keep up with the rate, eventually finishing on 82-9.  Top scorers were Lucas (20) & Ryan (22). Debutant Oliver Funnell and Ben Brown took two wickets each with a wicket each for Patrick Kilding, Jake Ross & Alfie Cleghorn.  A brilliant direct hit run out and one handed catch plus his two wickets secured Ben Brown with the Seaford 'Player of the Match'.

A great team effort.

Eastbourne net 278-5. A wicket for Lorenzo Adesina and three run outs from Callum Loader.  Seaford net 262-6. Zak Hearsay 15 & Callum Loader 9. 

Under 12s (11 aside) enjoy another exciting match against Newhaven (02/07/08)
Visitors Newhaven batted first and were restricted to 85-6 off 20 overs. Top scorer was J Weller with 18.  Chris Pope bowled well for his 2-14 with good support from Patrick Kilding, Bradley Eisnore and Alfie Cleghorn, who all took one wicket each.  In reply Seaford lost Chris Pope early, but a solid 43 run partnership between Kieran Loader (14) and Jacob Smith kept Seaford on target.  Jacob batted well and eventually retired on 30 leaving Curtis 'The Finisher' Cooper (26no) to crack four good boundaries to see Seaford home to the win with three balls to spare.

U13s are 6 wicket winners (01/07/08)
Seaford 88-4 (Jack Chaloner 32 ret & Tom Date 30 ret) beat Eastbourne 84-6 (Jonathan Robards 2-3).

Newhaven 124-8 (Tom Saxby 3-12) beat Seaford 59-9 (Tom Date 18).

Seaford 120 all out (Connor Burke 26 & Benjamin Page 23) beat Ringmer 104-5 (Tom Pitts 2-4 & Mitch Wood 1-12)

U14s undone by Buxted (16/06/08)
Buxted Park 81-3 (Mitch Ellingham 1-5) beat Seaford 80 all out (Craig Pooley 30 ret & Jack Chaloner 29no).

Under 12s (8 aside) enjoy two good wins 
Sidley 236-9 lost to Seaford 311-2 (27/06/08) and Seaford 278-2 beat Robertsbridge 223-9 (29/06/08) 

Under 12s (11 aside) well beaten by Eastbourne (25/06/08)
A below par performance by Seaford saw Eastbourne pile on 105-5 in 20 overs. Top scorers H Sheppard 30ret & William 21. Two wickets for the spin of Alfie Cleghorn and one for Chris Pope.  In reply Seaford lost regular wickets and never got into a serious position to challenge the Eastbourne total.  However, a good 29 not out from Curtis Cooper saw Seaford end on 68-7. Two wickets for H Sheppard and Harry plus a wicket each for Bradley, Dan & Bobby.

Under 12s bowled over by Glynde (19/06/08)

Seaford bowled and fielded well to restrict a strong Glynde team to 99-7.  Alfie Cleghorn spinning his way to 3-12, Chris Pope 2-5 and patrick Kilding 1-2.  In reply Seaford got off to the worst start as the top four batters got out for just 5 runs between them.  However, a good 5th wicket partnership between Ben Brown (20) and Curtis Cooper (24no) saw Seaford finish on a respectable 71-5.

Under 14s slip up against Buxted Park (16/06/08) 
Seaford batted well to post a decent 131-5 in 20 overs. Top scorers Rhys Cummins 33 ret & Jason Dann 31 ret.  However, a less than good bowling display allowed the visitors  to chase down the target and win by 7 wickets.

Under 12s perform well in defeat (15/06/08)
Seaford U12s welcomed Crowhurst Park U12s to the Salts for this Sunday morning friendly match.  Batting first Seaford scored 89 for 5.  Top scorers Kieran Loader 33 retired & Chris Pope 8. In reply Seaford bowled and fielded well, but a late quickfire 26 not out from C Flanagan stole the match from Seaford with one over to spare.  Patrick Kilding took 3 for 5 with a wicket each for Ben Brown, Jake Ross and Alfie Cleghorn as 10 bowlers were used.

Under 10s lose away to Barcombe (07/06/08)
A sunny and dry day at Barcombe greeted Seaford's fledgling U10 team.  Batting first Seaford could only score a net 217- 7.  Top scorers Zak Hearsay & Lorenzo Adesina. Dominic Wood took a hat trick. This total proved no problem for Barcombe as their excellent batters breezed past the total to finish winners on a net 287-4.  Top scorers Bertie Bextor 17 & Dominic Wood 13. There was a wicket each for Lorenzo Adesina & Callum Loader plus two run outs.

Seaford 189 off 20 overs.  Top scorers Sam Radford 50no & Jonathan Sapwell 52no.  In reply Herstmonceux were bowled out for just 38.  Callum Scott 4-3 (including a hat trick) & Dan Smedley 3-6.

Under 13s are friendly match winners over Firle (05/06/08

Seaford U12s (11 aside) made it three wins in a row after beating Maresfield U12s by 16 runs.  Batting first  Seaford set Maresfield a target of 102 to win.  Top scorers Chris Pope (30 ret) & Jacob Smith (30 ret).  Seaford bowled and   fielded tightly to restrict Maresfield to 85 for 4.  One wicket each for Bradley Eisnor, Alfie Cleghorn, Kieran Loader, Curtis Cooper & 'Player of the Match' Chris Pope.

Under 14s prevail in the rain (02/06/08) 
Seaford U14s made in two wins on the trott as they beat Glynde U14s by 6 wickets.  Batting first Glynde scored 111-6 in their 20 overs.  Rhys Cummins (3-9) & Tom Pitts (2-9).  In reply Seaford batted positively with Tom Pitts setting the example with a well made 33 retired. Tom Date (20 not out) & Bernard Lewis (17 not out) carried on the good work and with 18 runs off the last two overs saw Seaford home to victory in the by then pouring rain.

Under 10s lose first match (31/05/08)
Against a strong and experienced Chiddingly U10 team Seaford's inexperienced team performed really well in defeat.  Batting first Seaford lost 9 wickets and ended up with a net score of 203 (each team starts with 200 runs and loses 5 run for each wicket lost).  In reply Chiddingly ended on a net 270 for 2 wickets.  Man of the Match for Seaford was Axel McMullen.

U16s v Heathfield (29/05/08)

U13s win over Chiddingly (28/05/08)
 
On a dry, but ,cold and windy Salts Seaford invited Chiddingly to bowl first.  Good tight bowling and fielding saw Seaford restrict Chiddingly to 78 for 6.  There were two wickets each for Tom Date & Mitch Wood.  In reply Seaford coasted home to the win in 15 overs despite losing 5 wickets.  Top scorers Tom Date (25) and Jack Chaloner.

First win for U14s (27/05/08)
Laughton 117-7 (Mitchell Ellingham 2-15 & Rhys Cummins 2-22) lost to Seaford 118-2 9tom Pitts 30 retired & Toby Saxby 29no). Match Report.

U12 (11 aside) match washed out (27/05/08)
A waterlogged Chiddingly pitch saw the cancellation of this match.  It is hoped it will be rearranged.

National Cup dreams are dashed (26/05/08) 
Seaford U13s suffered an 8 wicket defeat to Withyham which ended their run in the Under 13 National Cup.  Batting first Seaford were bowled out in the penultimate over for 91.  In reply Withyham reached the winning target with 10 balls to spare.

Under 12 (11aside) win in last over thriller! (21/05/08) 
Batting first Seaford managed to score a decent 96 for 2, thanks to good knocks from Keiran Loader (27no), Curtis Cooper (19) & Ben Brown (17no).  The total proved to be 1 run too good for Newhaven as they fell short on 95 for 8.  Coming into the last over Newhaven needed 5 to win, but, Patrick Kilding held his nerve to see Seaford home.  Man of the Match Patrick (3-14) and Alfie Gleghorn (4-4) both bowled magnificently well. 

Under 14s undone by Chiddingly (19/05/08) 
Winning the toss Chiddingly batted first and scored a massive 166 for 3. Rhys Cummins 2-40 & Dean Cooper 1-34.  In reply Seaford lost regular wickets and were never ever in the hunt.  However, they still managed to finish on 111 for 8.  Rhys Cummins top scoring with 29.

Barcombe v Seaford cancelled due to heavy rain.  Hope to play the match again on Sat 7th June. 

National Cup disappointment (16/05/08) 
Seaford Under 15s lost to Uckfield Anderida in this Round 1 ECB U15 National Cup match at the Salts.  Batting first Uckfield scored 110 for 6.  Seaford fell short on 101 for 5.

Under 16s beaten by Glynde (15/05/08)
Glynde U16s 114 for 2 off 16 overs beat Seaford 83 for 8. Jacob Lee 33.

Newhaven are too good (13/05/08) 
Seaford Under 14s fell to a 9 wicket defeat at the hands of local rivals Newhaven.  Seaford 79 for 6. Tom Saxby 21 & Rhys Cummins 14. Newhaven 81 for1. Rhys Cummins 1-11.

Seaford U13s defeated Fletching by 5 wickets in the 1st round of the MCC Spirit of Cricket National Cup.  Fletching 65 for 6 in 20 overs Seaford 69 for 5 in 15 overs.
