Seaford C C Juniors

Seaford C C is one of an increasing number cricket clubs striving to take the wellbeing and welfare of their junior players very seriously.  A lot of effort has been made to work towards ensuring that the Club provides a safe enviroment for young players to develop and enjoy their cricket.  The Club's progress towards this has earned them ClubMark accreditation as well as Focus Club status within the County.

ClubMark is recognised by both the ECB and Sport England and tells the wider community that Seaford C C is a safe place for junior players to play cricket.

Seaford Under 14s fell to a 9 wicket defeat at the hands of local rivals Newhaven.  Seaford 79 for 6. Tom Saxby 21 & Rhys Cummins 14. Newhaven 81 for1. Rhys Cummins 1-11.

9 wicket winners (13/05/08) 
Seaford Under 12s 11 aside team enjoyed a good win over Eastbourne. Eastbourne 97 for 5. Alfie Gleghorn 3-8. Seaford 101 for 1. Jacob Smith 33 retired & Kieran Loader 25 no. Match Report.

Seaford 12s 8aside v Sidley (09/05/08) 
Match cancelled as Sidley were unable to raise a team.  The match will be rearranged.

U16s lose out to Hellingly (08/05/08)

Seaford U13s victorious in first league match (08/05/08)
Ringmer 69 for 8. Mitch Wood 3 for 8 and Jonathan Robards 3 for 14 which included his first ever hat trick.  Seaford 71 for 2. Mitch Wood 25no and Jack Chaloner 17. Match Report.

1st round cup winners (06/05/08)
Seaford U13s defeated Fletching by 5 wickets in the 1st round of the MCC Spirit of Cricket National Cup.  Fletching 65 for 6 in 20 overs Seaford 69 for 5 in 15 overs. 

Seaford U12s 11 aside lose out to Glynde (06/05/08)
Glynde 107 for 3 Seaford 92 for 3. Report to follow.

Seaford U12s 8aside lose first match (04/05/08)
Herstmonceux 268-9 beat Seaford 227-10.  Report to follow.

U14s v Buxted Park (02/05/08)
Match cancelled and to be arranged.


National Cup Round 1 (29/04/08)
The Under 15 National Cup match against Uckfield Anerida was the victim of wet weather and was cancelled.  The match will be rearranged.  Check out the site to find out when.

Outdoor training on Thursday evenings
Outdoor training sessions are being held at The Salts Recreation Ground.  These will continue every Thursday evening until the end of the season. The evenings will be split to cater for the age groups.  Age group and times are as follows:
 
Under 10s (School Year 5 and Under)& 12s (Years 6 & 7) 6.00pm till 7.15pm
Under 14s (Years 8 & 9) & 16s (Years 10 & 11) 7.15pm till 8.30pm

2008 U13 & U15 National Cup Ist Round Draw
The draw has been made for this years MCC Spirit of Cricket Under 13 Cup and Nationwide Under 15 Cup.  Our Under 13s are drawn away to Fletching and the Under 15s are at home to Uckfield Andrida.

Matches to be played by 9th May 2008.
